An online resource of advice and support

For patients suffering from dry eye disease and associated conditions

Welcome to the Dry Eye Association

Our mission is to improve the lives of patients suffering from dry eye disease and associated conditions through education and raised awareness.

The Dry Eye Association was created by a small group of dry eye patients and eyecare professionals with a shared goal. We want to provide a single online source of information and support, where patients can access expert advice on the day-to-day management of their condition, current treatments options and areas of current research.  The impact of dry eye disease on peoples working and personal lives can be significant. We want to offer hope. The condition cannot currently be cured, but it can be managed and quality of life improved.

Who is the Dry Eye Association for?

The Dry Eye Association is for patients suffering from dry eye disease from any cause and associated conditions, for example:

  • Meibomian gland dysfunction
  • Recurrent corneal erosion syndrome
  • Chronic corneal neuropathic pain (corneal neuralgia)

We also welcome optomotrists and ophthalmologists with an interest in ocular surface disease. We hope that increasing dialogue and understanding between patients and eyecare professionals, will lead to improved care.
