Ocular Surface Research Fund

The Ocular Surface Laboratory is located within the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Auckland, within the New Zealand National Eye Centre.

Led by Professor Jennifer P. Craig, a team of clinical researchers contribute to the overarching aim of better understanding ocular surface disease in order to improve patient management of anterior segment disorders, and in particular, dry eye.  The Ocular Surface Laboratory strives to support research at Honours, Masters and Doctoral level, for developing clinician scientists with a particular interest in dry eye and ocular surface disease.

Your donation is valuable in supporting future research projects.  We can do this through student stipends, equipment support and consumables funding.  Funds allow us to conduct preliminary research studies which contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this area, inspire and support a new generation of clinician scientists, help attract larger scale research funding through competitive funding agencies, and enable us to work towards achieving our ultimate goal of improving diagnosis and treatment of patients affected by dry eye and ocular surface disease.

We thank you for your generosity in supporting Ocular Surface research.
